This solo exhibition opens to the public on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 and continues until Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Le Labo, Suite 277, 401 Richmond St., Toronto.
Just Below My Loves / En Bas Mes Amours features three recent short films by the director, Tous les jours de mai (2023), Chanson pour le Nouveau Monde (2021), Une fortresse (2018). Originally shot on analogue film then digitized, the fictionalized narratives take us on a journey through sound and moving image drawing connections between land, loss and family in the aftermath of three separate tragic events.
An accompanying interview written in both French and English will be available in gallery and online following the exhibition.

Miryam Charles is a Haitian-Canadian director, producer and cinematographer living in Montreal. She has produced several short and feature films which have been presented in various festivals in Quebec and internationally.
