Just Below My Loves / En Bas Mes Amours features three recent short films by the director, Tous les jours de mai (2023), Chanson pour le Nouveau Monde (2021), Une fortresse (2018). Originally shot on analogue film then digitized, the fictionalized narratives take us on a journey through sound and moving image drawing connections between land, loss and family in the aftermath of three separate tragic events.

An accompanying interview written in both French and English will be available in gallery and online following the exhibition.

Join us for a French language virtual artist talk on June 8, 2023. Details can be found here.
