We are excited to co-present The Plagiarists by "Peter Parlow" with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Co-writer, editor, and cinematographer James N. Kienitz Wilkins, and producer Paul Dallas will be in attendance to present their inventive and delightfully acerbic comedy of manners.

A case of cultural appropriation, white liberalism, and the creative class — told humorously for the woke millennium.
The Plagiarists follows a young, urban white couple who, while stranded with car trouble, are rescued by a welcoming, older Black man named Clip who all but bewitches the pair with his eloquent recounting of tales of his youth. Inspired by this chance encounter, the couple has the rug pulled out from under them months later when they realize that they have been the "victims" of an ambiguous, seemingly unmotivated case of cultural appropriation that brings existential questions surrounding "authenticity".
