Images Festival: Closing Party!
Images Festival is committed to providing an accessible festival and continues to work to reduce barriers to participation at our events. This year, we are implementing a COVID-19 policy to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission for all, and to prioritize the participation of people who are disability-identified, immunocompromised, or part of an otherwise vulnerable group.
The following guidelines will be in place: Self-Assessment: We ask that staff and participants screen themselves for COVID-19 before visiting the exhibition.
Join us on April 27th to witness the sunset with the closing of this year's festival. Hosted by the ACE Hotel Toronto, prepare for a night of electrifying beats courtesy of this year's DJs Tender Buttons (Akash Bansal) and Karim Olen Ash.
Come out for a night of fun, music, and good company as we mark the end of the 2023 Images Festival!

Akash Bansal (DJ Tender Buttons) is a writer, filmmaker, DJ, and programmer currently based out of Toronto. Their expanded poetry practice includes video, sound, performance, and photography, as well as more traditional forms of text-based poetics. Their recent work has examined borders – both real and imagined, between people and places, and especially those within ourselves.
Karim Olen Ash is a Toronto born and raised DJ and multidisciplinary artist who has worked on numerous projects aimed at providing space for the BIPOC + LGBTQIA community. He is the co-creator of the Pep Rally raves alongside Chippy Nonstop. Over the last few years, he has built a steady following with his wide-ranging selections of house, techno, Jersey club and everything in between. Expect to hear playful and vibrant sets when you see his name on the bill.
